The Special Event Services unit is responsible for
the coordination of all crafts for campus events, to ensure efficiency,
cost effectiveness and timeliness of service. These events include
not only normal campus activities, such as Homecoming, Open House,
and Commencement, but also concerts, seminars, receptions, sorority
and fraternity functions and sporting events. Event coordination
is offered at no cost to our customers.
Physical Plant has purchased a sufficient quantity of the most
common items such as chairs and tables to accommodate most events.
The delivery, set up and tear down of rental equipment is offered
at the rates shown in the Special Events feature in our on-line
work order program. Rental charges are based solely upon the purchase
cost of the items, as well as the maintenance, repair and replacement
expenses for the items given their projected life. If you believe
we should inventory any materials not listed, please advise us
for consideration and if feasible, we will comply with your request.
