Whether it be a single piece of equipment, an office
or an entire building which must be relocated, you can count on
this group of dedicated staff to "get the job done, and done
right." The Day Crew also responds to service requests for
Event Preparations and Removals, as well as to Work Orders for
emergency situations. When tables, chairs, staging, podiums, rope
and stanchions or other related materials are required for an
event, a call to Paul Courtney at 827-4219 will attain you an
approximate cost for both the rental and labor cost, as well as
providing an established date for start and completion. A commitment
to our customers and to performance excellence is our commitment
to the campus community.
Paul Courtney is the supervisor of the Day Crew,
which includes six crew members and two custodial staff. Gil can
be counted upon to do one of three things for you upon receiving
your call: provide you with a correct response; find out the correct
response for you and call you back; or, as a last resort, refer
you to the party who will answer your questions for you.
As you can readily observe, this is a crew ready
to work for you. This team has been recognized as the best public
relations asset of Physical Plant, and rightfully so. Their efficiency
and dedication is a frequent mention in laudatory reports from our
customers, as well as their sense of humor and congeniality. When
something needs to be done and done right, this is the team to call.
The custodial staff on this team cover "high visibility"
areas where public contact is virtually assured, such as the Chancellor's
residence, the Book Store, and the Parking Services building. As
you might expect, quality performance and pleasant demeanor is not
just expected but demanded. Those who have encountered either of
these two ladies will attest that we have the right people for the
job.
